The popular mobile messaging app Telegram has announced the platform-wide deployment of its formerly premium-only Stories feature.
The platform revealed that among its 800 million active users frequently requested the Stories feature. As a result of the request, the company was working hard to give a distinctive spin. In addition, this feature is currently available in a majority of social media applications.
About the New Update of Instagram
On the surface, it appears that the platform succeeded in achieving its goals. The stories might seem familiar at first glance. However, it digs a little deeper. Additionally, users will find tons of customizability possibilities and interesting features. These include the option to select the story’s duration. Further, they can set the duration between 6 and 48 hours.
The feature also includes a media editing tool. In addition, it enables users to enhance their stories with text, drawings, stickers, location tags, subtitles, site connections, etc. Additionally, the Stories feature offers an optional Dual Camera Mode. Further, it enables users to take pictures with both the front and back cameras at the same time.
Features of the Update
Users can select from four distinct privacy settings for Stories. In addition, this includes Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Contacts. Of course, users have the option to include or remove particular persons from any of these lists. The capability to turn off screenshots is one of the more sophisticated features.
This formerly exclusive service is now available to all users. However, there are still a number of advantages to doing so as a premium subscriber. For instance, premium users have access to Stealth Mode. It enables them to delete the history of their Stories views for the previous five minutes and the subsequent 25 minutes after activation.
Additional Benefits to Premium Users
Premium users have additional benefits. In addition, it includes the option to store Stories in their gallery and a larger caption length allowance. Additionally, it has priority display order, permanent view history even on expired Stories, and a greater Stories output limit, capped at 100 per day.
The most recent update to Telegram will undoubtedly increase the usage of the service. Despite the idea not being particularly novel, Stories’ special features give it a new and entertaining spin.
