WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, may soon offer users the ability to customize their experience with different themes, at least on the iOS application. According to a recent report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on introducing a new default chat theme feature in a future app update.
This feature is currently in development and spotted during the TestFlight beta program. As a result, it aims to provide users with the option to customize their default chat bubble color.
Functionality of the New WhatsApp Theme Feature
The upcoming feature will allow users to select their default theme in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.11.10.70 version. Additionally, WhatsApp is reportedly working on adding four more chat theme options in a future app version. Choosing a new chat theme will also update users’ wallpaper. In addition, it will add bubble colors to match the color palette of the selected theme.
AI-Generated Profile Pictures
In addition to the potential theme customization, WhatsApp could also introduce a feature. In addition, it allows users to generate images using AI and use them as their profile pictures. WhatsApp beta update for Android version 2.24.11.17 first spotted this feature.
These potential updates indicate WhatsApp’s efforts to enhance user experience. Additionally, it will provide more personalization options within the app.
