Meta-owned WhatsApp is developing a new feature. This feature will let future users of WhatsApp send voice messages. In addition, users can record and share brief movies for up to 60 seconds with their contacts on WhatsApp, according to a report from WaBetaInfo.
According to the report, when a user receives a video message, a ‘Video message’ will appear in the chat list.
About the New Feature of WhatsApp
It should mention that the new feature will differ from the current WhatsApp feature for sharing videos.
The primary distinction between the two WhatsApp services is that users will be able to record and send videos in real-time with the future video messaging feature.
“When a recipient receives a video message, they can immediately tell that it was recorded on the spot. In addition, it will make it more personalized and timely. Thus, this also confirms the authenticity of the video,” according to the paper.
Additionally, WhatsApp video messages will be end-to-end encrypted, making it impossible for even WhatsApp to view them.
Additionally, users cannot store or forward video messages. But because the video is not sent through the see once option, users can still record them using the screen recording tool.
Closing Note:
Users of WhatsApp will be able to share status updates to Facebook stories without ever leaving the app. According to the article, it will enhance the sharing of status updates on Facebook Stories.
The study adds that because WhatsApp users select which status updates are shared, they will always be in charge of their status updates.
