About the New AI Button by Microsoft

Microsoft’s executive vice president, Yusuf Mehdi, revealed that the Copilot key button will serve as the launchpad for Microsoft’s AI chatbot. Mehdi emphasized that this addition will be the “entry point into the world of AI on the PC.” Additionally, Microsoft believes it will enable people to easily participate in the AI transformation.

The Copilot, introduced in March of the previous year, seamlessly integrates AI into Microsoft’s software. It works alongside popular applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. In addition, it is currently accessible through the keyboard shortcut Windows + C.

How will it work?

Mehdi highlighted that adding the extra key will bring AI closer to Windows, from the system to the hardware. In addition, it will simplify people’s computing experience. However, it will also amplify it, leading Mehdi to declare 2024 as the year of the AI PC.
