WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will enable users to annotate media files on forwarded messages. According to a report from WABetaInfo, the messaging service will allow users to change the descriptions of forwarded photos, videos, and GIFs. In addition, this will also apply to documents.

In order for the recipients to understand that the new description is independent of the original message. Thus, it will get deliver as a separate message.
