WhatsApp

According to reports, WhatsApp is introducing a new “text detection” capability. According to a recent claim from WABetaInfo, iPhone users will now be able to directly extract text from photographs thanks to the iOS 23.5.77 update.

Due to the gradual implementation, all users may eventually have access to the feature.

Open a text-filled image to test out the new feature; you’ll see a new button that lets you copy the text directly from the image.

Because WhatsApp uses iOS 16 APIs to identify text in photographs, the new functionality is only accessible to users of iOS 16. Please take note that the view once photos will not work with this feature due to privacy concerns.
