Today, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, disclosed that the business is launching new features. As a result, users will find and customize Facebook Reels recommendations easily. Reel users can now tailor what they want to see more or less of with the company’s new personalization settings.

How will the new feature of the reel by Meta work?

Now, when a user sees a reel, users can tap the three-dot menu at the base of the video player. In addition, they can choose “Show More” or “Show Less.” 

This option will appear at the bottom of Reels and for videos in the Watch feed.

A Reel’s rating score for similar Reels will momentarily improve if users choose the “Show More” option. 

Its ranking score will momentarily drop if users choose the “Show Less” option. Previously, Facebook has included the Show More and Show Fewer options in its normal postings.

Additionally, Facebook is adding new labels to the Reels video player to describe why users are viewing a particular reel. For instance, Facebook will notify users when a specific Reel is playing since one of their friends loved it.

In order to give people easy access to short-form films, Facebook is also making it simpler to find relevant Reels. In addition, the firm included Reels in the primary navigation at the top of Facebook Watch. 

Users can also navigate between Reels and long-form videos while watching videos on Facebook.

The update made today follows Meta’s addition of support for lengthier Facebook Reels of up to 90 seconds a few weeks ago.

It also includes some new creative tools, like a new templates function. In addition, it enables users to make Reels using current themes.

According to earlier statements, Reels are Meta’s fastest-growing format, which is still expanding significantly. As a result of AI-powered content suggestions, Zuckerberg stated last week during Meta’s quarterly earnings. In addition, he added, call that time spent on Instagram has increased by more than 24% since the company debuted Reels on the site.
