Apple has made iOS 16.4 RC available to all customers. Voice Isolation for phone calls, a highly desired function, is now available thanks to the update.

Voice Isolation isn’t especially new to iOS. It is accessible for FaceTime and WhatsApp calls previously. In addition, in Mac and iPadOS, for quite some time. However, the feature did not allow regular phone calls.

The update also includes 21 new emoticons. In addition, these emoticons are accessible through the emoji keyboard. With the release of iOS 16.4, a brand-new accessibility feature is available that lets the display dim when videos contain strobe effects or light flashes.

Children’s Ask to Buy requests should now display properly on the parent’s device. The new Home Architecture has fixed the problem where Matter-compatible thermostats could become unresponsive when linked with Apple Home.

In order to receive the Developer beta updates, the Cupertino company has stopped supporting Developer beta profiles. Users who want to try new versions of iOS when they are released will either need to pay $99/year for the Developer Program or use the free public beta releases.

iOS 17 will launch in June at the WWDC 2023. Although it is unclear if it will add support for third-party app stores or enable third-party browsers to use their own engines in place of WebKit (Apple Safari).

The stable version of iOS 16.4 should be released shortly since the iOS 16.4 RC has been made accessible to users in the Developer Beta and Public Beta programs. With Apple Music Classical, iPadOS 16.4, macOS 13.3, watchOS 9.4, and tvOS 16.4, it will most likely be made available on March 28.
