According to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple forecasted to release AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case later this year. Later in 2023, the tech behemoth intends to release the second-generation AirPods Pro.

In addition, the information provided by Kuo of TF International Securities indicates that the bulk shipments will probably begin in the second or third quarter of the current year.

The renowned Apple expert claims that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant will keep selling AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 with the lightning charging connector. However, the second-generation AirPods Pro will have a USB Type-C connection for charging.

“I believe it is most likely the AirPods Pro 2 USB-C version, with wide distribution anticipated in 2Q23–3Q23. By the way, it appears that Apple has no plans to release USB-C versions of the AirPods 2 and 3, “Tweeted Kuo.

Released in September of last year, the second-generation AirPods Pro came with a lightning charging case.

Kuo had previously said that Apple is likely to prepare a low-cost AirPods TWS. A new AirPods Max will also be available in the second half of 2024.
