United Airlines With Panasonic to Bring New 4K Display

Together with Panasonic Avionics, United Airlines equips some of its planes with 4K panels and Bluetooth connectivity. Beginning in 2025, the airline plans to install over 300,000 Astrova seat-back screens from Panasonic Avionics on new Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 787 aircraft. According to a news release from Panasonic Avionics, the amount an airline has invested in in-flight entertainment is the highest.

Panasonic introduced the Astrovia display at the 2022 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX). In addition, United’s managing director of Identity, Product, and Loyalty, Mark Muren, announced the airline’s intention to purchase the screens during this year’s AIX.
