Twitter has introduced Community Notes for photographs in postings in an effort to place greater responsibility for crowdsourced moderation. The business wants to address instances of altered or artificial intelligence-generated images on the platform where users share the photos.

The firm stated that in order to contribute remarks about images rather than tweets, Community remarks contributors must have an impact score of 10, which evaluates how beneficial a contributor’s notes are. In this manner, the Community Notes will stay the same even if people tweet the same image with different captions.
How will it work?
If there are notes attached to an image in a tweet, it will note with the words, “This note is about the image and may show on other Tweets, including the image.”
According to the social network, there are plans to develop this feature to include tweets and videos with multiple media. It also mentioned that the matching algorithm might overlook a few tweets that contain images and notes. This is because this is a beta version of Community Notes for media content.
Paid verified accounts and AI-generated photos were used to propagate the Pengatgon attack hoax swiftly. Despite removing the original image and message, the user continued to share the snapshot on social media.
