Twitter unveils a feature allowing verified businesses to publish job advertisements on their profiles. The social media behemoth also set up an official @TwitterHiring account. However, there are no tweets available on the page.
About the New Feature of Twitter
Twitter hasn’t yet formally announced the job post capability. However, some verified firms have already had access to posting job openings beneath their Twitter bios on their profiles. Candidates can apply for a position and learn more about it on the company’s website due to the job advertisements.
Nima Owji, an app researcher, published a screenshot describing the function, which the social media behemoth is calling “Twitter Hiring.”
How will it work?
Twitter has described the functionality in the screenshot as a tool for verified businesses. Thus, it will help them to recruit candidates for their open positions. The verified firms can add up to five job positions.
The graphic also shows that verified businesses can quickly upload their job ads by connecting to a supported ATS or XML feed. In addition, they can import all of their open positions.
Closing Note
With this new feature, Twitter is looking to take on popular companies like LinkedIn and Indeed. It’s worth noting that Twitter purchased a job-matching tech startup called Laskie in May. It was the company’s first acquisition since Musk purchased the app. It’s possible that the acquisition helped the social media giant develop and ship the feature.
Twitter users already post job postings on the platform via tweets. However, the new functionality could help companies easily reach candidates across the platform’s widespread user base.
