Twitter has launched its new paid API (Application Programming Interface) platform with free, enterprise, and basic access tiers.
With its Twitter Dev account, the business announced the news on Twitter. Today we are announcing our new Twitter API access tiers! We can’t wait to discuss our self-serve access in more depth.
The corporation originally intended to discontinue free access to its API on February 9. However, it then delayed the closure until February 13 and then again.
These three tiers also include a free basic level that is largely designed for content posting bots, a basic level that costs $100 per month, and a costly enterprise level.
Additionally, the corporation claims that all subscription levels include free access to the Advertising API.
The firm announced the addition of a new type of Free (v2) access for “write-only use cases” and “those testing the Twitter API with 1,500 Tweets/month at the app level, media upload endpoints, and log-in with Twitter.”
For “hobbyists with 10,000 GET/month and 50,000 POST/month, two app IDs, and log in with Twitter for $100/month,” the firm introduced the Basic (v2) access tier.
The microblogging service also urged companies or large-scale commercial ventures to apply for its Enterprise tier in order to receive managed services, comprehensive streams, and access that is tailored to their needs.
