William Max, the creator of the app, discovered the new trending topics feature for the first time due to a screenshot provided by an anonymous Meta employee on Threads. The search box, the new feature lists subjects in numerical order and displays the number of articles related to each topic.

Notably, Threads has only introduced the keyword search function in a recent version. Meta’s head, Mark Zuckerberg, had made a hint about the Trending Topics feature. However, he announced the update via his Threads profile. “Get excited — search is coming to Thread,” he added. Presently, the app spread to the majority of English- and Spanish-speaking nations. Soon, more will follow.
