Telegram CEO Pavel Durov revealed that the messaging service will soon include Stories. According to Durov, users have been requesting the feature for a long time. In addition, they have received more than half of all feature requests from Telegram for Stories. According to Durov, the firm first opposed adding Stories since they “are already everywhere,” but decided to do so after customer feedback.
Features of the New Setting by Telegram
Users will have control over who can view each of their stories with Telegram stories. They can choose whether or not anyone, only their connections. In addition, they can select a small number of carefully chosen contacts, or a group of close friends can see their Stories. At the top of their chat list, in an expanded section, they will find stories. Users can hide Stories submitted by any contact by relocating them to the “Hidden” list in their Contacts area rather than the main page.
How will it work?
Users of their Stories can add captions and links. Additionally, they can tag other people in their Stories. Notably, they will be able to concurrently post pictures. In addition, they can post movies made with front and back cameras in a manner reminiscent of BeReal.
Users will also be able to decide when their narrative expires. It can have a six-, 12-, 24-, or 48-hour expiration date. Or, in a manner similar to how Instagram allows them to display Story highlights, they can permanently display Stories on their profile page.
Closing Note
Even the Telegram team’s skeptics began to value the feature after internal tests of Stories, according to Durov. In addition, Telegram can no longer fathom the messaging service without this feature.

Stories will be accessible in early July after they have completed their final testing phase. Durov thinks the function will “herald a new era on Telegram.” In addition, it will make the service more sociable than it is now.
