In order to assist retailers in incorporating Snap’s Augmented Reality (AR) into their websites or apps, Snap, the company that owns the well-known social media app Snapchat, has introduced new AR Enterprise Services (ARES).

The division will offer retailers an innovative chance to utilize Snap’s augmented reality (AR) technology. In addition, it will enable customers to try on clothing, jewelry, and cosmetics from the comfort of their homes.

“For the past ten years, we’ve been working diligently to give Snapchat users engaging and unique AR experiences. We’re thrilled to bring our top-notch augmented reality technology to companies’ websites, apps, and even physical locations over the course of the next ten years,” said Jill Popelka, Snap Inc.’s head of AR Enterprise Services.

With AR Enterprise Services, we hope to improve the shopping experience for customers and transform businesses all over the globe.

The first ARES solution is term Shopping Suite, a collection of goods and services with a 3D Viewer, AR Try-On, and Fit Finder built into retailers’ own applications and websites.

Additionally, the shopping package offered access to specialized services, support, asset management, integration, and experience (AR feature) delivery tools.

Over 250 million Snapchat users, according to Snap, use augmented reality features on a daily basis, so the company has been concentrating on improving AR on Snapchat.

In response, the business has been exploring options to diversify its income stream beyond digital advertising.

Snap provided a number of examples of early users of the Shopping Suite’s features experiencing success.

Thus, Princess Polly integrated Fit Finder and AR Try-On features; Goodr made use of AR Try-On and interactive 3D Viewer technology; and Gobi Cashmere’s conversion rate was 4X higher for customers using Fit Finder suggestions and AR Try-On features.

Following the adoption, merchants noticed increases in add-to-cart rates, lower return rates, and higher conversion rates for customers.
