Samsung, a South Korean smartphone company, reportedly started development on its Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatches after releasing its Galax Watch 5 series last year. According to a recent source, Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch 6 series would have larger batteries than its forerunners.
About the Galaxy Watch 6 series
Both the Samsung Watch 6 40mm and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm are likely to include a 300 mAh battery, per a GSMArena report. Moreover, a 425 mAh battery might be present in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 44mm and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm.
The report added both capacities are larger than the Galaxy Watch 5’s batteries, which only give 284 mAh for the 40mm size and 410 mAh for the 44mm version.
According to the South Korean tech titan, the rotating bezel is reportedly coming back this year, which would apply to the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro. Samsung previously used this kind of design in its Galaxy Watch Active.
When is the launch of the Galaxy Watch 6 series expected?
According to the source, Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series will debut in August. In addition, with its newest foldable device.
The price
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro is likely to cost the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, in terms of pricing. Similar to the Galaxy Watch 5, the Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in two sizes.
There is currently no additional information on the new smartwatch series from Samsung. However, a patent that Samsung just submitted will enable the corporation to incorporate a projector within the smartwatch.
Also, Samsung was developing a Galaxy Watch with an integrated projector. The Galaxy Watch 5 series just received advanced temperature-based menstrual cycle tracking capabilities. For this integration, Samsung collaborated with the Natural Cycles function, which is currently accessible in the US and Korea.
