Qualcomm unveiled the S7 and S7 Pro Gen 1 as two new audio device processors today. Using micro-power Wi-Fi, the newest model from Qualcomm increases the range of audio devices. In addition, it intends for used with wireless speakers, headphones, and earbuds.
About the New Qualcomm Audio Devices
Qualcomm S7 and S7 Pro Gen 1 devices users can accept calls. In addition, they can listen to music while strolling about their houses, buildings, or offices. This feature contrasts with Bluetooth, which has a maximum audio range of 10 meters.
Qualcomm has created a new technology dubbed XPAN (extended personal area network), which employs micro-power Wi-Fi and is compatible with devices with S7 Pro Gen 1 SoCs. According to the company, the energy required for a Bluetooth device to stream audio at 48kHz is equivalent to the energy needed to broadcast lossless music at 192kHz. They also claim that XPAN Wi-Fi consumes very little power.

In order to function, XPAN monitors the strength of the Bluetooth connection and immediately transitions to Wi-Fi when it senses that the user is about to leave range. It is compatible with most routers since it operates on 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands. In addition, these are the bands used by most current Wi-Fi networks.
With the S7 and S7 Pro Gen 1 processors, Qualcomm appears to have further enhanced the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) features, which now adjusts based on real-world conditions. The new chips can now dynamically alter the ANC based on several characteristics. In addition, this includes variations in fit and abrupt disturbances. Additionally, it can automatically detect the noise levels around users due to on-device AI.
