Swoosh, Nike’s new platform for virtual creators, introduced the drop of its first virtual collection, Our Force 1 (OF1). It was co-curated by the Swoosh community. Additionally, it acts as an homage to the classic Air Force 1 (AF1) shoe.
About the First Virtual Collection
Users can pick between two digital “boxes.” The Classic Remix box includes a vintage AF1 from 1982 to 2006 or a bespoke AF1 with a retro twist. A vintage archive from 2007 or later or a unique, futuristic AF1 is available in the New Wave Box.
The AF1s that are spread throughout both boxes were made possible by the four winners of Swoosh’s “Your Force 1” competition.
Once customers can open their OF1 package and see which sneaker is inside, Swoosh members will get the information. Each virtual work will include a 3D file that the owner is free to download. In addition, they can use for personal expression.
These unique Nike virtual creations will receive additional new features and benefits from the platform. In addition, this includes exclusive tangible items or experiences.
In the official press announcement, Ron Faris, general manager of Nike Virtual Studios, stated: “We are exploring new methods to tell stories and build relationships. However, we are removing the constraints and limits of tangible items.
Swoosh is the marketplace of the future because more users are opting to express themselves through both physical and digital spaces.
Closing Note
Nike developed a number of distinct access points for purchasing an OF1 box. Airdropping of AF1 posters by the brand will begin on Swoosh.
On April 18, Nike will select Swoosh users at random. When the early access sale begins on May 8, these posters will be necessary to buy an OF1 box.
