Nike will showcase new re-creation collections made from recycled materials in London and Paris, this summer.
Re-Creation is a circular business concept that collects used clothing. In addition, it transforms them into wearable items. Additionally, it then distributes it locally. It combines creativity, innovation, and a fresh perspective.
About the Nike Collection
According to a press statement from Nike, the company wants to “serve the future of athletes,” which can affect anyone with a body.
It went on to describe how local manufacturing, distribution, and collecting may help cut down on carbon emissions.
Despite the fact that there isn’t a single, all-encompassing solution to stop climate change, Nike employs its Re-Creation initiative to apply circular design principles “as a creative accelerant.”
The campaign is a continuation of the circular brand goals Nike Grind, Nike Refurbished, and Nike Recycling & Donation efforts.
The program’s first debut occurred in Los Angeles last spring, and two additional phases came after.
Closing Note
The following Re-Creation initiative will debut in NikeTown London at the end of April with a 25-piece, one-of-a-kind capsule collection before expanding. Greater Goods, a design initiative based in London, helped create the collection.
Later this summer, Sarah Moh, a Parisian designer, will debut her collection.
