NASA formally unveils NASA+. It is a free streaming service.
The organization disclosed that NASA+ will include its Emmy-winning live coverage and brand-new original video series. In addition, it will be open for iOS, Android, and the web. Additionally, it will be available to the majority of streaming devices like Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV.
What will the new channel NASA offers?
“Our new science and flagship websites, as well as upcoming NASA+ videos, showcase our discovery programs in an interdisciplinary and cross-cutting way. It will showcase exoplanet research to better understand Earth’s climate. In addition, the influence of the Sun on our planet along with exploration of the solar system.” Additionally, it is ultimately strengthening connections with our visitors and viewers,” said Nicky Fox, associate administrator of Science Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters.
According to Jeff Seaton, chief information officer at the NASA headquarters in Washington, “Our vision is to inspire humanity through a unified, world-class NASA web experience.” The historical footprint of NASA offers a chance to enhance the user experience for the audience we serve. Thus, it will make our agency’s material more accessible, discoverable, and secure. Additionally, it requires taking crucial first measures like updating our primary websites’ infrastructure and streamlining how the public interacts with it online.
