Microsoft to Soon Release Minecraft Games on Chromebook!

The tech company Microsoft is making “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition” available on Chromebooks in early access.

According to a blog entry on the Minecraft website, the game supports cross-device play with friends, access to the Minecraft Marketplace, and playing on Realms.

Although not yet available for purchase by everyone (the complete release will follow), it represents an exciting step toward making Minecraft more widely available.

Early access implies that during this initial stage, only a select set of Chromebooks that meet the prerequisites will have the option to buy Minecraft.

Before making the game accessible to more players, the company wants to test the game’s functionality with the early access version.

The tech giant stated, “We’ll work diligently to ensure that Minecraft works smoothly on Chromebook between now and the official launch date.

As per the statement, the full version of Minecraft for Chromebooks hasn’t been formally released yet. However, once it is, anyone with a compatible Chromebook will be able to download it from the Google Play Store, according to the statement.

The multi-platform versions of Minecraft created by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, and SkyBox Labs and built on the Bedrock codebase are known as Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (officially just Minecraft).
