Marriott International, Inc. declared an agreement with NEOM to establish three properties on Sindalah, a luxury island resort in the Red Sea off the coast of Saudi Arabia.
The multi-deal arrangement comprises two Luxury Collection properties in addition to the first Autograph Collection Hotels property in Saudi Arabia.
Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International, said: “NEOM is one of the most eagerly awaited developments in the world, and we look forward to collaborating with its team to create these three fantastic properties. “The hotels in The Luxury Collection and Autograph Collection will each have a distinctive identity inspired by the extraordinary natural settings of NEOM. We still see room for expansion for our brand portfolio in both the destination and Saudi Arabia.
The Luxury Collection in Sindalah
The Luxury Collection is scheduled to open two resorts in the much-anticipated island destination, delivering transformational experiences and place-rooted authenticity, providing global tourists a doorway to the world’s most alluring locations. A beach resort with 70 luxurious rooms and suites, including villas with one, two, three, and four bedrooms and private pools, is scheduled to open in 2024.
The second project will feature 115 one, two, and three-bedroom luxury rooms and is scheduled to debut in 2024. It will be in the center of Sindalah’s marina and shopping district. Both Luxury Collection resorts will provide various dining options and recreational amenities.
One of the most enticing locations in the Red Sea is Sindalah, the first of a sequence of islands that will be in NEOM. About 2,000 marine species, 600 of which are native to the Red Sea, live in the gorgeous and diverse maritime environment that surrounds the island, which will have exquisite facilities and exclusive services.
“Marriott International has a fantastic reputation in the area and one of the most enticing portfolios in the entire industry. As the division in charge of creating a future-focused hospitality ecosystem in the area, Chris Newman said, “We are thrilled by the prospect of working together and look forward to creating a hospitality experience that captures the spirit of Sindalah’s year-round appeal while creating unforgettable memories for our guests.
Sindalah is likely to open its doors to travelers as the first NEOM destination in early 2024. The three developments are likely to be the island’s first hotels to launch.
