Instagram Users Can Now Share their Posts With their Close Friend Lists

Instagram

Instagram has introduced a brand new feature. In addition, it allows users to share their feed posts and Reels exclusively with their Close Friends lists.

About the New Feature of Instagram

This feature was initially available for Instagram Stories in 2018. In addition, it later extended to Notes. Additionally, it aims to cater to the growing number of users who actively utilize their Close Friends list as a safe and pressure-free space to connect with others.

Instagram hopes that this update will provide users with more choices. Additionally, it will enable them to be their most authentic selves on the platform.

Previously, many users created private “finsta” accounts to share this type of content with a select group of close friends. However, with Instagram’s latest update, these accounts will no longer be necessary.

Here’s how the new feature works

Before sharing a feed post or Reel, users can select the Audience tab and choose the Close Friends option.

Once selected, users can tap the share button.

Their posts will appear on the feeds of the accounts listed in their Close Friends list, distinguished by a green star icon.

Importantly, users’ Close Friends lists will remain consistent across posts, Reels, Stories, and Notes.
