Instagram Now Let Users Download Reels

Instagram

Instagram users can now download reels directly. However, just a few users have access to the feature. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri recently stated that users in the US can now directly download Reels to their devices.

How can users download Instagram?

We are now making it possible to download reels posted by public accounts to the camera roll in the US. Select the download by tapping the Share icon on a reel you enjoy. It’s important to note that public accounts can disable the option for individuals to download their reels in Account Settings. However, private account users cannot download reels shared by them.

Mosseri also described how can a user download Instagram Reels directly from the app and store them on their camera roll. Simply tap on the Share button and then tap on Download to achieve this.

Only public accounts’ reels, he said, are available for download. Public account users can also decide to disable the option to download Reels.

Although he did not directly state that the downloaded Reels will have a watermark, the picture he uploaded does suggest that the movie will include the Instagram logo and the account name.
