This feature allows creators to visually align audio with elements, such as text, stickers, and clips. Thus, this will enable them to express their creativity in a manner that resonates with themselves and their audience.

Instagram will attribute the overall combined track to the creator. As a result, it will enable them to encourage their followers to reuse the unique mix. This simplifies the process for creators. However, it enhances the overall user experience.

Shift in Video Content Strategy

Earlier this month, the head of Instagram, Adom Mosseri reinforced Instagram’s decision to focus on short-form videos over long-form content. He further added, that watching a 10- or 20-minute video results in reduced interaction with friends. In addition, it decreases the visibility of content from friends, and a lower likelihood of sharing the video with a friend. Mosseri explained that the platform will steer clear of long-form videos. This is because it could potentially detract from the core identity of the platform.
