Google today introduced a new “Shop” page for Android TV. Starting today, the company will make this capability available on all Android TV devices in the United States. In order to allow customers to browse titles that are available for purchase and rental.
About the Shop Tab by Google
A section called “Library” with a carousel of thumbnails will display the movies and TV series users have already bought from Google Play Movies & TV, YouTube, Google TV, or Android TV. However, the new tab will let users discover new titles.
How will it work?
Additionally, customers can purchase titles from Android TV. Further, they can download them to their phone or tablet through Google Play Movies & TV to view later or on another device.
In addition to redesigning Prime Video last year, Amazon increased the focus on movies and TV shows that could be rented or bought.
In the next weeks, Android TV users worldwide can access the new Shop page.
