Google is developing a new voice recorder user interface (UI) for “Google Messages,” their instant messaging program.
According to 9To5Google, users may currently record a voice message by holding down the microphone icon and ‘Slide to cancel’ whenever they like. The duration is also mentioned to the left of the bar.
How will the redesigned voice recorder work?
After using “Slide to cancel,” the message will appear in the text field for users to listen to and erase as necessary.
Messages will only begin recording when users hit a new circular icon in the redesigned voice recorder, which is a clever change to differentiate from the nearby Gboard microphone.
Once finished, the user will also have the option to push the stop button and have it replayed right away.
This new Google Messages voice recorder is extremely fun with some whimsical touches/animations.
