One day after the release of iOS 16.4, beta testing for iOS 16.5. The following significant iPhone software update is already underway.
The release may happen sometime in April or May. The latest update’s stable release will occur just before Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). In addition, it is beginning on June 5.
According to reports, Apple will reveal iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and other initiatives, including the eagerly awaited xrOS software for the rumored Apple VR headset due out soon.
About the New iOS 16.5 Update
Users of Siri who routinely record their screens may find this new capability really useful, despite the fact that it may seem like a tiny improvement.
Using it on iOS 16.5 is as simple as doing the following: Say “Hey, Siri record my screen” or “Hey, Siri record screen” to invoke Siri from the home screen or lock screen.
There will be no countdown before the recording starts. In addition, users can give Siri a command like “stop recording” to halt the recording. Additionally, it will save it to the Photos app.
It’s important to note that this new function gives consumers another way to record their screens. Previously, users could record their screen using a specific Control Center button.
Sports fans used to be able to discover sports news on Apple’s Today tab. However, users can now conveniently access scores and schedules for their preferred teams in one location due to the addition of a new dedicated Sports tab. This tool provides an easy way to remain current on sports news.
Closing Note:
It might take some time before iOS 16.5 is made universally available for iPhones. As it is only in the first beta level right now. The upgrade might be released in May. In addition, as it gets closer to a global rollout, it might get more functionality. However, it seems that iOS 16.5 will be a small upgrade. Additionally, iOS 17 is likely by Apple in June.
