Google is currently experimenting with showing blue check marks on specific search advertisements for advertisers verified by Google advertisements, taking inspiration from Twitter and Meta.

According to Search Engine Land, the Google Ads blue label has a blue circle with ridges and a checkmark inside of it. The Google advertiser authentication program includes the Blue badges.

First to notice the Google test for blue checkmarks for verified ads was SEO analyst Khushal Bherwani. Google is now displaying the confirmed blue tick mark icon on Sponsored Ads.

According to the report, the Blue Badge may make the advertisement stick out from similar ones that do not bear the checkmark, “potentially resulting in higher click-through rates and conversions.”
