The updated summary cards build upon Gmail’s existing features. In addition, it will enhance the snippets of information previously offered. The new cards are dynamic, updating in real-time with fresh information. Google has introduced additional actions. In addition, it includes the ability to check in for flights, set reminders for bill payments, and invite others to events.

Introducing the “Happening Soon” Section

The new features began rolling out on October 2, starting with purchase summary cards across iOS and Android. Some users had already spotted these cards before the official announcement. Over the next month, Gmail will introduce additional summary cards and the “Happening Soon” section specifically for purchase-related emails. Eventually, it will integrate all four categories—purchases, events, bills, and travel into individual emails, the “Happening Soon” section, and search results.
