In addition, users can find it conveniently in the ‘Updates’ tab. Thus, this makes it easier for users to navigate the extensive range of available channels.

WhatsApp has reported that more than 500 million users worldwide engage with Channels each month. In India, some of the most followed channels feature Bollywood celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan and Katrina Kaif, alongside the Indian Cricket Team, singer Diljit Dosanjh, actor Vijay Deverakonda, and Netflix India. Recently, actor Ayushmann Khurrana has joined the expanding roster of public figures utilizing WhatsApp Channels.

Beyond the Channels feature, WhatsApp is advancing its AI capabilities. The messaging app will roll out a two-way voice chat function powered by Meta AI.
