WhatsApp announced that users would soon be able to use two accounts at once. This implies that the user can navigate between two accounts within a single WhatsApp session.
On his Facebook page, Mark Zuckerberg revealed the feature. In addition, he stated that people would soon be able to utilize it.
About the New Update of WhatsApp
Using two WhatsApp accounts required carrying two phones in the past. The business is now enabling users to manage two accounts with a single phone. Phone manufacturers such as Oppo and Xiaomi have added features like app cloning. Thus, this will enable users to utilize numerous WhatsApp instances.
In a blog post, the business stated that it was “helpful for switching between accounts – such as your work and personal. Thus, users no longer need to log out each time and carry two phones. In addition, it reduces worry about messaging from the wrong place.”
How will it work?
In order to add an additional account, users can navigate to Settings > Add Account. Users will need a phone with a physical or eSIM slot for multi-SIM setup or their second phone with a SIM. They will be able to control unique notifications. In addition, they can control privacy settings for every account.
In order to stop fraud, WhatsApp issued a warning about phony versions of the app.
Closing Note
WhatsApp added passkey support for the Android version earlier this week. In addition, this feature allows users to log in without the need for SMS-based two-factor verification.
