A week after the release of iOS 17.1 Beta 2, Apple has just released iOS 17.1 Beta 3. The members of Apple’s Developer program eligible for beta upgrades can get this update. The stable version is likely to be available globally by the end of the month. However, other users will have to wait for some time.
About the New Update of Apple
The firm has improved the Action Button in Beta 3. Thus, it will prevent accidental activation while the device is in a pocket or bag. Additionally, the company has included a critical repair in the Wallet app.
Despite the requirement for a lengthy press, the Action Button has historically unintentionally activated features. The new features include the Camera, Flashlight, Voice Memo, Focus, and Magnifier. Due to the iOS 17.1 Beta 3 upgrade, specific features will no longer activate when the iPhone is in a pocket or bag.
How will it work?
It’s crucial to note that the pocket still allows for the activation of other features like mute and shortcuts. Additionally, the report notes that this update stops actions started from the Action Button. However, it has no impact on the choice of users to activate each of these features.
The integrated Wallet app has also received an update. Some customers reported instances of the Wallet app crashing on the earlier iOS 17.1 Beta 1 and Beta 2 versions, causing disruptions at crucial times. Fortunately, the most recent version fixed this issue.

In the meantime, Apple has unveiled a new feature that limits the power that the modem can use for iPhone 12 models in France. This modification complies with French laws for SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) testing.
